Company investing $2.9 million to establish new manufacturing facility in Lexington County.
COLUMBIA, S.C. – OMP Mechtron, LLC, a manufacturer of mechanical parts and electronic integration, is expanding its existing Midlands operations by establishing a new facility in Lexington County. The company is investing $2.9 million in its new operations, creating 20 new jobs over the next five years.
OMP Mechtron, LLC is the U.S. branch of OMP Mechtron S.P.A., an Italy-based producer of mechanical parts. Established in 1987, the company’s product line includes subracks, rack cabinets, electronic integration racks utilizing printed circuit board assembly and waveguides used in mobile telecommunications. As a truly global firm, OMP Mechtron operates facilities in six different countries across Europe, Asia and North America.
To meet increasing customer demand, OMP Mechtron, LLC is establishing a new facility in Lexington County. Located at 4335 Augusta Highway in Gilbert, S.C., the 20,791-square-foot building will house the production of printed circuit board assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies and wiring.
